LILAC 07-06-09 Lilac is a beautiful 5 year old cocker. She has been a breeding Girl but now she's retired her breeders wanted her to find a loving home. She does not know how to walk on a lead but will learn. She will need company of another canine already in the home to help her. Lilac is a very gentle girl.
LETTY 07-06-09 Letty is a 4 month old cocker. She had a very very low grade heart murmur at 8 weeks old which the vet said may well disappear. She is lively, friendly and a honey. Letty has always lived with other dogs and will be happiest with another existing dog already in the home.
Libby 07-06-09 Libby is a 4 month old cocker female. As a young pup she had Juvenile Pyoderma. She is now over that but now has inward growing eye lashes so our vet will operate and sort that. Libby is very sweet but has never been on her own as she has always had the company of other dogs. She will be happiest with another existing dog already in the home. JEWEL 05-06-09 Jewel is a 7 month old Cocker spaniel who was returned to the breeder after the people that bought her as a tiny puppy discovered that she has a cataract and no longer wanted her. Unfortunately for Jewel this is hereditary and cannot be operated on but thankfully it is only one eye and she can and will be able to see perfectly with the other. We would be hoping that Jewel could go to a home with another dog so she can have a canine friend for the rest of her years.
WIST BEING FOSTERED IN HADLEIGH, SUFFOLK 14-05-09 Wist is a 6 year old ex breeding cocker, she and her sister Winnie have been given to us to find homes. She will get her inward-growing eye lashes operated on and, of course, be spayed before homing. She is a lovely girl but she has never walked on a lead or lived in a home. She will need a home with another dog to help her learn about home life and be her friend. Update: Wist is a gentle, quiet, calm and loving girl. She and her sister Winnie, have been the easiest fosters so far........they are just gorgeous! Wist joined our group of 12 dogs without any hesitation, and has settled in perfectly. She, initially, tried to avoid human contact, but is now actively looking for cuddles and support. We've had no "accidents" at all, and she sleeps through the night without a murmur. She is a little shyer, but more active than her sister, and enjoys trotting round the garden, investigating all the new and interesting smells, followed by a relaxing snooze. She's still getting used to lead walking, but getting better all the time. Wist would suit a kind, patient family, where she would be given time to gain confidence, and become the loving companion that she wants to be. She would also benefit from having a gentle doggy friend to show her the way.
PLEASE NOTE: Ex-breeding dogs are normally best homed with another dog as they have usually never lived in a house before. They are used to living with other dogs and learn faster with another to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. These dogs are at the main rescue centre in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. To adopt a dog from Many Tears Animal Rescue please make sure you have read our adoption procedures before applying. You will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £150. If you are interest in adopting please call the rescue centre between 10am and 4pm on 01269 843084. We are unable to return phone calls so please try again if your call is not answered. | Loving home waiting for the right cocker spaniel.Open fields to rear of property provide ideal place for our dogs to exercise. The cocker must get on with other animals as we have 2 border collies, 2 springers and a JRT as well as ducks, chickens, goats and rabbits. We are offering a home with lots of fun and exercise for a dog who is willing to be trained to the gun, just what a cocker should be doing! |
