Hello

We have an animal sanctuary in North East Scotland. We are putting up beautiful new stables and have post and rail fencing throughout. We are in a lovely peaceful setting with plenty of excellent grazing. Our last yard was BHS approved and this one will be once building is complete. We have a few limited vacancies only. I am concerned about advertising as when I advertised a while ago I was absolutely inundated with genuine cases and had to turn a lot of them down which was heartbreaking. We have four horses at the moment and maybe another two. A legally binding contract applies and exact terms are agreed with the current horse owner. The horses will not be ridden : this is for rescue horses and retired horses. They cannot be sold or used for breeding. We have 45 years' experience between us and run the yard as a family. If you have a horse or pony needing a permanent home do make contact and perhaps come and look round the farm.

Do you still have space?

I have a 12,2 that needs a great place to retire to and your farm sounds lovely. She is a sweet 20yrs old and perfectly healthy just not sellable as she is mental when ridden. She loves a pamper and is easy to handle. I would be happy to contribute towards her keep if she goes somewhere that i know shes being well cared for. Please let me know.

Thanks

Shirley

Good Afternoon,

I was wandering if you can help me? I would like to re-home my 14.2hh Connemara x TB Gelding who is 17 years old. I have owned him for 8 years and this is a very sad decision for me but unfortunatley he has bone spavin. I have presevered over the last 3 years with x-rays / steroid injections / anit-inflammatorys. I would love to find a caring and safe home for him to spend the rest of his days and couldn't bare for him to go somewhere and become neglected.

Is this something you can help with?

Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Many thanks,

K

Hi I'm desperately trying to find a longterm, safe home for my welsh x TB, 10 year old gelding (15.1hh). He has been retired for two years. Recently I have had an accident and am unable to look after him. I have the use of one hand, can't drive or put a headcollar on! I'm relying on friends and my husband to muck out and feed him. No turn out at present is available.. he has been stabled since Christmas on a farm. My husband walks him out in-hand but obviously it's not an ideal situation for my lovely horse. He was very difficult to ride - I had many vets and back specialists look at him but all checks were inconclusive. He has a lovely, lively personality, loves attention and is a good doer. Please can you help... or suggest anything that may help. Thank you
