its a tough one, theres a lot of reports of rotastak stuff coming apart and the animals escaping, but other ppl swear by them.

i wouldn't,but i suppose theres only 1 way to find out.

good luck !!

They are quite escape prone, make sure all fittings are done up tightly.

If it has 'domes' with the twisty lid on top then use tape or something to stick them down because mine escaped twice by actually turning the lid and pushing it up itself!

They are ok, you just need to securely fasten every fitting or door with a bit of tape to make sure it doesnt escape.

i have used rotastak cages for 2 years with my hamster. i started off with a maxi mansion for my male syrian hamster patch when i got him over 2 years ago now. he absolutely loved it. the tubes simulate their natural habitat. sadly my patch passed away but the life he lived in his rotastak cages was fantastic. i made additions to my cage for patch as he grew and altogether he had 12 floors to his house as i adapted it with 2 huge pastic boxes filled with sawdust to dig in. i also added a lunar lauch pad, an adventure zone including large pod (great for ventilation, a maze unit and another maxi mansion so as patch grew his cage grew and he loved nothing more than climbing through his tubes and foraging for his treats in all the sections of his cage.

I would reccommend rotastak highly and if and when i get another hamster he/she will get the same amount of love and care and also a rotastak home with endless sections.

IF YOUR WORRIED ABOUT THE TUBES COMING APART WHAT I USED TO DO WAS SELOTAPE THEM TOGETER AND THEN I KNEW THEY WOULD NOT COME APART.

Rotastak cages do take a fair bit of time and effort to clean but if you have given a hamster a home you must be willing to put in the effort and asking for information is a very responsible thing to do as i found eveything i needed to know from doing just that.

i have heard a number os stories about rotastak cages but i myself believe that it is not the way the cage is made but the way it has been put together (often inexperience on the owners part)

however i would highly reccommend the cage to you as there are endless ways to keep your little hammie happy, secure, safe and loved.

if you need anymore advice on hamster cages or hamster care post me another thread on here and ill be more than happy to help.
