Hi
I have recently been through the same process, after we lost our Neopolitan Mastiff in September. One daily updated site is Dogsblog, this site also lets you search through different breeds. The only thing I would say is that most of the rescue sites, dont update on a daily basis so most of the dogs online will have gone. Our most recent addition actually came from a home advertising him on Preloved.
Good Luck Lisa

Hi,

I will be after a very large a good natured dog next year some time and have previous experience of the old english Mastiff breed.

I will not buy a pup though i would be after a younger dog. The rescues around here are few and far, mainly filled with Staffies and Collies all year.

I thought these dogs would be common in rescue centres? are there any rescues that see more of these then most? I just want to know where i can start looking, I will also be in the position to have a pair which i know can be a blessing for some centres when they dont wish to separate large dogs.

What are your thoughts and where to source out the best shelters for the large dogs. I have looked at the breed rescue, but im not just fixed on the one breed so would like to use a broad breed dog shelter.

Cheers!
