Hi all,

I need assistance, I have a beautiful 7 year old Staffie female called Cassie, she has been a wonderful family pet from birth, she is Brindle/black and white, neutered, vaccinations well up to date and micro chipped, she has a regular vet and full records to prove treatment, she is fine with other well behaved animals (I have never seen her with a cat so wouldn't like to say), she is well used to kennels, house trained and has a lovely temperament around kids, she is however a powerful dog, she weighs around the 19kg mark and carries quite a lot of force when she is playing/running/barking at the postie! We also have a 17 month old son (not for rehoming) who loves to play with her but has recently been knocked over/scratched and nipped (during play). We are at a great loss by deciding to re home Cassie but I am so fearful that worse my happen if we don't. She is very well behaved, just when she plays I don't think she appreciates her own size. She will sit on command, come back to you if off the lead and generally do as she is told. She sleeps downstairs in our house but loves to come up in the morning to wake us up, she has a phobia of fireworks which results in her hiding in the downstairs loo for a couple of hours.

Cassie was treated a couple of years ago for a damaged cruciate ligament which resulted in an operation, the knee has recovered fully however she is limited to short works else she is sore the next day

Cassie has been insured her whole life by Direct line and will continue to be at my expense until the day she dies.

Finally Cassie has only ever once shown any aggression towards a person and that was when somebody was caught creeping around our back garden at night, she only barked but managed to scare him away.

If anyone thinks they may be able to help, please get in touch. I will require references/recommendation, I would need to visit you at home and make sure Cassie would fit in (distance is no object).

Cassie is a very loved part of our family who we will miss forever, I insist she goes to a good home.

More info/photo's on request.
