| Has the vet checked her teeth? Has there been tests for other things such as stomach problems etc? There are vitamins but at the end of the day this alone isn't going to be OK in the long run. Its been a while since you posted hows things? I would recommend to change your vet you dont seem to be getting anywhere with this one and sometimes it takes someone else to spot the problem. I really hope all goes well. |

I have what must be the fussiest eater. I have had dogs all my life and was always of the oppinion that a dog would not starve itself and would eventually eat what was put down for him. I now must refute that. My yorkie pup who is nearly six months old refuses to eat any dog food, tinned or dried. I bought her 10 weeks ago and put down what the breeder told me she had used, P. Chum puppy. she refused this for a few days so I sought the advice of my vet. He suggested I try her on Royal Canin, My cat has got very fat stealing it but the pup wont touch it. I persevered for days, not giving into her but she stood her ground. since then I have tried her on tinned, pouches, everything... She lost so much weight she was down too skin and bone, in the end i started trying to tempt her with cooking chicken and fish but she still took no interest, packets of ham, tinned tuna, nothing would entice her to eat. Her skin and coat are now in such bad condition and all the vet says is she won't starve herself but she is!! I have very recently got her to eat a very small amount of cooked mince and am wondering if anyone can recommend a good all round suppliment I could give her as I am sure she is difficient in a lot of essential vitamins and minerals. She also has what appears to be ringworm patches which I have cream for but new patches keep appearing, someone out there must have some good advice which I would be very gratefull for |
