Although I am still quite confused - isn't this a rehoming site? Is there a cat needing a home on this thread? |

| I know kittens can be reabsorbed - and apologies for sounding abrupt. I'm just noticing a lot more unlikely posts on most of the rehoming sites I visit at the moment. |

A cats fertility diminishes over the years but there is no such thing as a cat menopause. So theoretically an old cat could get pregnant. All more reason for people to spay and neuter. Plus I too have never heard of a cat 'eating' kittens inside her but they can 'reabsorb' the litter within them. It usually happens if there is a problem with the pregnancy and the cat somehow reabsorbs the growing kitten embryo's inside them and is no longer pregnant. Isn't the body an amazing thing? |

Hmmm....another troll, maybe? How can a cat eat kittens still inside them? Biologically surely that's impossible. |

i was having a walk when suddenly i saw this big cat howling at me, my dad thought we should bring her in because she looked skinny. we fed her when we got in and my mum said she was pregnant so the next day we took her to the vet she had: fleas (everwhere) rotten teeth (had to take them all out) part of her ear was missing (in a cat fight) she was pregnant plus she was 17 (real shocker) and she was sick all the time.in the end she didn't have her kittens she she chose not to and ate them when they were still inside her.we let her out one day and she didn't come back. |
